Notes of elegance......

The Maison Joseph Drouhin in association with the Logos string quartet, comprising Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra musicians have the pleasure of inviting you to join us in a unique sensory experience. The character and the elegance of classical music being to the ear what the wines of Burgundy are to the palate, we propose a musical wine-tasting evening in the heart of one of the oldest cellars of Beaune where prestigious musical pieces will be paired with some of the emblematic wines of our house.

Allow your mind to journey whilst appreciating the exceptional accoustics of our historical cellars, the finesse of our wines, and the lightness of touch of the string quartet. We have selected for this event, 6 emblematic wines of Maison Joseph Drouhin, (3 whites and 3 reds), perfectly accorded to the pieces to be played. The evening will begin with a brief introduction of the string quartet, followed by a concert in the historical cellar of the former Burgundy Parliament building during which musical interludes will be alternated with the commented tasting of wines. To illustrate this sensory experience, the musical wine pairings will be as follows:

Chablis Premier Cru 2011

Félix Mendelssohn: Quartet Op.44 N°2 in E minor, 1st movement: Allegro assai

Chassagne Montrachet 2009
